She is almost walking!!!

This week Faith has been getting closer and closer to walking on her own. She will hold on to one of our fingers & walk around, but once we let go she drops to a crawl. She has been walking around the furniture for awhile, but now she is getting less and less interested in crawling & loves to walk around with us.

Today Faith & I went to Pullman and met Brooke & Malathi for lunch (friends from work). We had a fun time & it was nice for me to get out of the house for a visit. We also tried the new ice cream shop on Main in Pullman, "Licks". I think that had to be my favorite ice cream...Faith thought it was pretty yummy too!

Thats it for now!

Faith's 9 month checkup

Well Faith had a good 9 month check up on Monday. She weighs 19 lbs. 6 oz. and is 28.75" tall. She is in the 50-60th percentile for weight and 80th percentile for her height. So she is a tall one for her age. She only had to get one shot & didn't even cry for it...thank heavens! She did have a rough night last night & I think she was just not feeling good from the shot.

Faith now says a few words. She says "Da Da", "Ma Ma", "up", "bye bye" (sounds like ba bye) and says "tickle tickle". She loves walking around the coffee table & couches & so we think she is getting closer to walking on her own, but I don't think she is in any hurry. She still loves to crawl & just yesterday she was wanting me to crawl & chase her around the house...it was so cute. She also tries to play ball with me. I roll the ball to her & she grabs it & throws it behind her...she is still learning.

Well that is all for now....until Thursday's pictures!

Oops...Thursday came & went!

Hi all! I forgot that yesterday was Thursday & so I was all ready to send pictures today. I just realized it was Friday. I think I have been sick for way too long. The family is now feeling better after 2 weeks of sickness.

Today Faith and I are going into town to meet Adam for the "All Campus Picnic" at WSU. We go to it every year & are excited to go again this year with Faith.

The only other news around here is that I started walking everyday with a friend from church. She has a little boy who is 2 years old & we both push our jogging strollers for about 4 miles each morning. It gets us up & going for the day. It is crazy because I am less tired the days that I go walking...it is really nice. It has been pretty chilly in the morning, but it has been beautiful & sunny so I have really enjoyed it.

I hope the weekend is a great one for everyone!

Love,

Jamie

Oh....the one with her smooshed face is her standing on my tummy reaching over & putting her face on the coffee table while I was underneath taking her picture!

Here are this week's pictures of Faith Anne. She has had a boring week with her mom at home. Actually she got to spend Monday & Tuesday with both Mom & Dad since Adam was home sick. We have all been sick & it seems like it has been forever since we were well. Adam is doing ok now, but I am still dragging with this crud. I was going to post a picture of my pink eye, but then once I saw the picture I opted not to share...it is just too icky.

So, other than that Faith is doing good. She seems to learn so much every day. She is becoming more interested in books these days. Her favorite book is titled "Happy Baby 123" & she loves it when we read it to her.

Getting better!!

Well...my eyes are not as pink anymore! It has been a boring last 5 days. I have basically been stuck at home except for a trip to Wal-Mart yesterday. Nothing too exciting is happening today. Faith is taking a nap right now & so I am enjoying a little time to myself. We are trying to get Faith to sleep on her own now & so that has been a trying experience. Adam and I have such a hard time hearing her cry since she normally doesn't cry.

Other than that....I am just plugging along.

My fun weekend...not

Well Friday afternoon started out pretty fun with Faith and I going to the park & feeding the ducks as you saw on my last post. When we got home I started noticing my left eye was getting kinda weird looking. Adam, Faith and I went out for pizza at Pizza Hut that night & my poor eye was so red & all cloudy. It got worse from there & I had to go to bed early because it was getting so bad. On Saturday morning I woke up to my left eye almost swollen shut. I called the clinic in Colfax & Faith & I went in at 10am. So, come to find out I have pink eye....YUCK! I got antibiotic drops for it & went home. A few hours later my right eye started getting bad....so now I have pink EYES...AHHHH. I didn't go anywhere on Saturday & tried not to touch anything. I carried around the Lysol bottle & sprayed everything. It is driving me nuts & I can't wait until it goes away.

For now, I am keeping my pink eye kit very close. I have with me at all times a box of kleenex, hand sanitizer, a bottle of Lysol & my eye drops. I don't even want to answer the door because I look so funny.

I did take a picture of my eye, but I fear touching Adam's computer to get the picture off the camera, so I will wait until I am not so contagious before attempting to do that.

I hope everyone else had a good weekend!

Faith & Mom go to the park!

Well, today Faith and I went into Pullman to pick Adam up from work & decided to go to Sunnyside park. I took along a few pieces of bread to feed the ducks. When we got to the park & found a spot to feed the ducks, the ducks started running up to us. It was crazy!!! The ducks ate out of my hand & Faith was just so excited to see the animals walking around so close to her.

After feeding the ducks, we decided to go to see the goats that were close by. The goats were all so interested in Faith & came over to visit her. She was a bit scared of them...I would be too if one started eating my shirt through the fence. Faith stood up at the fence & then when they would come over to her, she would get down. They just wanted to kiss her, but she wasn't interested!! In this picture she just took her hand away from the fence so the goat couldn't kiss her hand.

These are the moments of being a mom that I will always cherish!

My first blog

Welcome to my blog...I am a bit embarassed at these funny pictures that Adam so nicely put in a collage for you to giggle at, but hey...I was the one who took the silly pictures & yes...I did draw all over my face with eyeliner...so I guess I did this to myself.

Anyways...I am excited to keep you up to date with what we (Adam, Faith & I) like to call the Murph Life.

Here is the link to this week of Faith.
