New Pictures to Share

Well I finally found a spare moment to put pictures out on the web for you to see.

Faith is doing well right now & has been recovering from being sick. We are praying that everything stays ok for surgery on Friday...this morning I thought she had a fever, but it was just me being paranoid.

Well not much else to report. It has been an exhausting month and Adam and I are looking forward to having our little girl healthy again.

Love,
Jamie

Surgery Rescheduled

Faith didn't have her surgery today due to a case of Croup. The poor kid got very sick starting Saturday night. We took her to the ER on Sunday & the doctor put her on antibiotics and diagnosed her with an upper respiratory infection. On Monday afternoon her breathing got very bad & we went into the doctor's office. Her doctor decided to admit her into the hospital. After a few breathing treatments she was breathing much better, but it was still scary. Faith and I stayed in the hospital over night & were released Tuesday morning.

Children's hospital didn't want to go ahead with surgery due to her breathing problems. We have rescheduled her surgery to remove the tumor for next Friday, December 2nd.

I have been told that God doesn't give us anything that we can't handle. I have been wondering if I can really keep up with all these things, but we are just taking it one day at a time & are just thankful for all the support of our family and friends. Adam and I are also thankful that Faith has kept our spirits up with her cute smiles and happy attitude.

I apologize that I don't have any new pictures. I haven't taken many pictures lately, but am hoping to take some this weekend to post.

Love,
Jamie

Prayers Answered

What wonderful news the doctor told us today. Faith's tumor is benign. We came over to Seattle yesterday and had our appointment with the doctor at Children's hospital today. The doctor reviewed Faith's MRI scan and X-ray & said it was a large benign tumor. We will be coming back to Seattle next week for surgery to remove the tumor. Faith's surgery will be Wednesday morning and she most likley will be able to leave the hospital on Thursday (Thanksgiving Day).

Thank you to everyone for your prayers and support. This was quite a scary experience to go through. We went through so many emotions, but were determined to keep a positive outlook on the situation. Adam and I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful support system of family and friends.

Faith has been in a wonderful mood the past 3 days and it is like she could feel everyone's love for her. She is such a blessing to us and we are sooo thankful that we get to enjoy raising her & watching her grow.

Love,

Jamie, Adam & Faith

Prayers for Faith

For those of you who have not yet heard, we have had a bit of bad news come our way. Faith has been having trouble with her right arm & Adam and I noticed that it was hurting her. We took her into the ER this past Tuesday night & had an X-ray taken. The doctor said he didn't see anything & sent us home with some Ibuprofren. Wednesday afternoon the doctor called Adam and said that he showed the X-ray to the radiologist & they did see something. So long story short we went to Sacred Heart Children's Hospital in Spokane on Wednesday for Faith to have an MRI. It was terribly hard to watch her cry during her blood draw (it took 3 times) & she started being afraid of the nurses. On Friday we got the results back from the MRI and the doctor let us know that Faith most likely has a form of bone cancer. Adam and I have done a lot of looking into this and it is extremely rare.

So after we got the results our family doctor made arrangements for us to go to Children's in Seattle this coming Tuesday. We have no idea at this point where the road will lead us, but we are keeping our heads up and our attitudes positive. Faith is her same old self & is happy as can be.

We would appreciate your prayers during this time. It has been amazing to see how God has been working through others to get us to this point. We feel blessed that we were able to find this as soon as we have & that we have a wonderful hospital right in Seattle to go to.

We will keep everyone informed as we get to the next step. We are leaving Monday to head to Seattle and will have an appointment with a pediatric bone cancer specialist on Tuesday.

Thank you for all your love & support.

Happy 1st Birthday Party

Faith had a wonderful birthday party today! Adam and I are so happy to say that it was a success. Faith ate her ladybug cake & had fun eating the frosting and even licking her plate.

She is now trying to recover from the excitement & is sleeping!

More pictures to come!

Love,
Jamie

Happy Halloween

Faith had a wonderful Halloween this year. She went trick-or-treating at the mall in Moscow & loved walking around in her costume. She also attended two carnivals to get in her fill of seeing other children in cute costumes. Adam and I had a blast showing off our little piggy and jaguar.

I will be posting more photos soon!
