My Crazy Hair

Well baby Faith has the most crazy hair as you can see. She woke up from her nap & I had to take pictures. She was quite happy after her nap too. She is doing well & has had a great week. She got to hang out with her cousins two nights in a row & they had a lot of fun playing together. Faith is still practicing walking & is doing better each day. She isn't in a big hurry to walk everywhere so she still likes to crawl around.

Not too much else new here!

Three more teeth & now she has 12!!!

Wow, Faith has decided to grow another 3 teeth since the last post. She has been drooling a lot, but has been in good spirits. She likes to keep things even by having 6 on the top & 6 on the bottom.

This past Friday we took Faith to the fair & she loved the animals. She got so excited to see everything & enjoyed the live music. She loves to bounce around when she hears music & it is so cute to watch her. Her favorite thing right now is to kind of sing along when she hears music. Oh....her other favorite thing is to say "Woof" everytime she sees anything that resembles a dog. It is pretty cute.

Till next week,

Jamie

And one more tooth makes 9!!!

This past week has been an interesting one. Faith got sick starting on Saturday night. I had to call the local ER since she was screaming at midnight in pain. The nurse said to give her Motrin. So we did that & she felt a bit better. She then decided that getting all congested would be the next step! So, her new name is Miss Snotty :). Adam decided that he is a bit squeamish when it comes to snotty noses...I found that a bit amusing. Yesterday I noticed Faith has what looks like a moler coming up. No wonder why she hasn't been feeling good...oh & that explains the drool that hasn't stopped for the past few weeks!

Right now Faith is dancing in her playpen as I type this out. We are listening to Ryan Shupe & the Rubber Band....a wonderful band out of Utah that just got a real record deal & now has a song on the radio!!!!! Adam & I have loved their music since they came to Pullman on their way to a concert in Seattle (I think) a few years ago & played a free concert.

So, Faith is a hoot to watch dance...she mostly bounces up and down, but she loves music. She has been dancing for awhile now. We discovered her dancing talents when Adam had her on his lap & he did the "beat box" & she started bouncing up & down...she was like 3 months or younger (I can't really remember exactly when).

Well that is probably enough for now. Here is the link to Faith's pictures: http://wsu.edu/~ajmurphy/WeekofSeptember12/index.html

Adios for now!

Faith Started Walking!!!

Wow, she did it!!! We told Faith she needed to start walking at 9 months since both her mom & dad were walking at 9 months. She decided to wait until the night before she turned 10 months & took her first steps. She took 3 or 4 at first and then worked all the way to 15 steps in a row. It was such an amazing feeling as a mom & dad to watch our first baby walking. It was almost more amazing for me than when she started sitting on her own & crawling. It was so neat for me to watch the look on Adam's face as he watched Faith in amazement. He was the most proud dad!

Faith is also teething like crazy. Our once cute little clean child is now a little drool monster. She didn't drool like this with her first 8 teeth, but she is drooling like mad right now. I feel like I need to keep a bib on her at all times.

I was a bad mom & didn't take but a few pictures of Faith this week & most of them didn't turn out very well, so I just am posting one picture this week...I will have to make up for it next week!

Not too much else is new here. I just got the news that my Mom & Dad are coming up for Faith's first birthday & I am just so excited. I can't believe how fast 1 year can go. Last year at this time I was counting down the days until my due date trying to enjoy every last minute of being pregnant. I feel so blessed to have had a good pregnancy & a happy easy baby. All that waiting was well worth it. There were times I could only imagine what this could be like...being a mom & now I am cherishing each moment...even those hard ones with the wake up cry at 2am :).

Anyways....now that Faith is fast asleep I am going to get some work done. She decided that she only needed a 30 minute nap today so I didn't get any work done earlier.

Laters & Good Night!

Silly little Faith

Well Faith and I have had a wonderful week of staying home and enjoying the last of the summer weather. Faith has been sleeping a lot lately during the day & so I am thinking a growth spurt is about to hit. Other than chasing her around the house, I have been trying out my hand at ruining our flower beds in the back yard!

I decided yesterday to try and "help" Adam with the yardwork. In case you didn't know, I never touch the yard...no planting, no nothing. I thought it couldn't be that hard & so I "trimmed" some of the "dead"...or what I thought was dead stuff in the flower bed. I guess you can't trim plants all the way down & expect them to live. The look on poor Adam's face when I showed him the yard. He knew my heart was in the right place, but he said that it would be like if I had come home & he had tried to do the white laundry & accidently put a red shirt in the load. I was pretty sad about the whole thing, but Adam was very understanding. I guess no more surprises of doing yard work for me!

So, beyond that, I haven't had anything too much else going on. I am still walking in the mornings with my friend & love that. It is a great start to each day. This morning we saw 5 deer before we went walking. It is hunting season & so I am sure they were just trying to find a nice place to stay safe. Faith & I enjoyed taking a minute to watch & enjoy nature from our car port!

Thats all folks!
